This Privacy Policy explains how Zachary Uptin collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Doomlings Companion app on iOS and Android, any official website or landing page for the app, and related services.
Doomlings is a separate company based in the United States. Zachary Uptin operates Doomlings Companion independently and uses certain Doomlings assets and content under licence. This Privacy Policy applies to Zachary Uptin's operation of Doomlings Companion and does not govern information practices of Doomlings' own website, store, or services.
Operator and Scope
Zachary Uptin is the operator and responsible entity for Doomlings Companion.

This Privacy Policy covers information collected through Doomlings Companion, connected support channels, marketplace features, and official app-related web pages operated by Zachary Uptin. It does not cover third-party sites, stores, sign-in providers, or services that you use separately from the app.
Data We Collect
We may collect:
- account and identity data, such as your user ID, sign-in provider, and account details made available by Apple or Google;
- profile, collection, and marketplace data, such as usernames, avatar images, contact preferences, card collection information, wishlist or missing-card information, listings, prices, seller preferences, messages, and support requests;
- location and address data you choose to provide, such as country, city or locality, region, postcode, street address, and city-level or address-level coordinates used for marketplace location features;
- content you upload or create, such as photos, listing images, attachments, reports, and chat messages;
- device, technical, and usage data, such as app version, operating system version, device details, push token data, time zone, diagnostics, feature access events, link clicks, and basic analytics needed to operate, secure, and improve the service; and
- payment-related metadata, such as tip product name, amount, currency, and transaction status, where a tip feature is available on your platform.
We do not intentionally collect more information than is reasonably necessary to operate the service.
Sign-In and Identity Providers
You can sign in through Apple or Google. When you do, Apple or Google and Supabase may provide authentication and limited account information needed to create or maintain your Doomlings Companion account.
We use Supabase to provide backend infrastructure, including authentication, database, storage, and certain service operations. Apple and Google each process information under their own privacy terms when you use their sign-in systems.
User Content, Marketplace, and Support
Doomlings Companion includes user-generated content features, including profiles, card collections, marketplace listings, marketplace messages, support communications, and uploaded images.
Information you choose to submit through those features may be visible to other users when needed for the feature to work, for example when you publish a listing, share a collection, share marketplace contact details, show your public marketplace city and country, or send a message.
Marketplace listings, collection sharing, messages, support requests, and uploaded images may be stored and processed so the app can display them, moderate them, troubleshoot issues, and provide the relevant feature.
Please do not upload or send information you are not comfortable sharing through these features.
Location and Permissions
Doomlings Companion may ask for permission to use your device location when you choose location-based marketplace features, such as autofilling your marketplace location, finding buyers or sellers near you, sorting marketplace results by distance, or setting delivery or pickup details.
You can use the app without granting location permission. If you do not grant permission, you may still enter location or address information manually where the feature allows it. You can change device location permission later in your iOS or Android system settings.
For marketplace visibility, city or locality and country may be shown publicly on listings or seller profiles. The app may also store city-level coordinates so distance sorting and nearby marketplace filters can work without showing your exact address to other users.
If you choose to save a full address, street-level address details and any exact-address coordinates are treated as private marketplace information. They are intended for delivery, postage, pickup coordination, or related transaction support, and are not shown in general marketplace browsing.
Location information is only collected when you grant device permission or enter it manually, and it can be cleared or changed from the app settings where those controls are available.
How We Use Data
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve Doomlings Companion;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- power collection tracking, collection sharing, wishlist and missing-card features, marketplace listings, messaging, support tools, and related moderation or safety actions;
- provide marketplace location features, including seller readiness checks, public city and country display, nearby sorting, distance filtering, delivery, postage, and pickup coordination;
- send service-related communications and push notifications;
- process tips and keep basic transaction records where applicable;
- measure feature usage, diagnose performance, understand link activity, and improve app reliability;
- investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or legal issues; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
DoomAI and OpenAI
When you use DoomAI, the app processes the question you submit and any context you choose or that the app attaches to the request, such as a selected card print, catalogue information, trait-pile or game state, or Score Tool data. We may also record the generated answer, references, model and request metadata, token usage, technical diagnostics, and any helpfulness, accuracy, reason tags, or written feedback you provide.
To generate and validate an answer, the question and relevant request context are sent to OpenAI. OpenAI is an independent service provider and processes data under its own privacy practices, including the OpenAI Privacy Policy at https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in a DoomAI question.
We store DoomAI questions, answers, feedback, and associated metadata to show question history, restore credits after failed requests, detect abuse, investigate errors, monitor usage and cost, evaluate answer quality, and improve DoomAI and its knowledge base. We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security, after which it may be deleted or de-identified. We do not sell DoomAI question content.
Kickstart Exchange
Doomlings Companion uses Kickstart Exchange to display cross-promotions for other apps within the app.
The Kickstart Exchange SDK sends app-level information needed to deliver and account for promotions, including the app’s Exchange API key, bundle identifier, platform, app and build versions, SDK version, App Store country, development mode when applicable, and locally verified Apple-signed App Transaction evidence when StoreKit makes it available. The signed evidence is processed transiently and discarded after verification.
The integration does not send your Doomlings Companion user ID, a device identifier, or location data to Kickstart Exchange.
Kickstart Exchange records app-level promotion delivery and interactions for approximately 30 days. Its privacy manifest declares Product Interaction and Advertising Data for Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, and App Functionality. These data types are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking.

External Links and the Doomlings Store
Doomlings Companion may contain links to the Doomlings website or other third-party destinations.
Zachary Uptin does not control third-party websites, including Doomlings' own store and web properties. If you follow one of those links or make a purchase on an external site, your information will be handled by that third party under its own terms and privacy policy.
The app may record that a link was opened, which link it was, and where in the app it was pressed. Some external links may include affiliate or referral information so purchases can support the app or apply available discounts.
Retention and Account Deletion
We keep personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate Doomlings Companion, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Marketplace location and address information is kept until you change it, clear it, delete your account, or it is no longer reasonably needed for marketplace, transaction, safety, support, backup, or legal purposes.
If you delete your account, user-generated content associated with your account is intended to be removed, including chats, listings, collection-sharing records, and similar content created through the service. Some limited records may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary for backups, fraud prevention, legal compliance, transaction records, or dispute resolution.
International Transfers
Zachary Uptin is based in Australia, while some service providers and counterparties, including Doomlings and certain infrastructure or sign-in providers, may be located in other countries, including the United States.
By using Doomlings Companion, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside your place of residence, subject to reasonable safeguards and applicable law.
Children and Age
Doomlings Companion is not directed to children under 13.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and if the law in your country requires a higher minimum age or parental or guardian consent for account-based, chat, or user-generated content services, you must meet that requirement before using Doomlings Companion.
If we believe personal information has been collected from a child in a way that is not allowed by applicable law, we may suspend or delete the relevant account and information.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make material changes, we may update the policy within the app or on an official app-related website. The Last updated date shown with this document reflects the most recent section update recorded for the current version of the policy.

Please include enough detail for us to understand and respond to your request. We will review privacy complaints within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with the response and Australian law applies to you, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
